November 29, 2020For almost three decades now chocolate has been a symbol of love and romance for couples around the world. The versatility of chocolate making into many different recipes with names like; hot chocolate, hot cocoa, cappuccino, cafe latte, and lattes also demonstrates its popularity. In America alone chocolate has claimed a place in the food industry as it accounts for more than a third of the sales of coffee. In fact, chocolate is so popular these days that it is fast becoming the most purchased confectioner across the world. It is often said that the chocolate industry is worth more than the automobile industry, and it has even surpassed the beverage industry in terms of growth in recent years.
Summary chocolate uses a combination of cocoa, sugar, cocoa butter, and milk fat to make a thick smooth spreadable treat. Chocolate is a natural preparation of ground and roasted cocoa beans that is produced in the shape of a creamy liquid, sometimes in a solid block, and also can be used as an ingredient in many other foods as well. Common versions of chocolate include chocolate milk, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, chocolate drink, cocoa butter chocolate bars, and chocolate coins. These all provide the body, taste, and consistency of chocolate, but are made from a variety of different ingredients and come in many different varieties. There are even a wide range of pre-made forms of chocolate available for consumers to enjoy.
While chocolate may seem to have a somewhat limited shelf life, it actually contains at least two hundred and twenty-three kinds of fat, at least forty-three varieties of protein, as well as at least four hundred and seventy-two chemicals and enzymes. One of the most important elements of chocolate is the chocolate oil which provides the necessary emulsifying power for the process of melting it. Therefore, you must keep this very important item in mind if you plan on keeping your chocolate as chocolate. Chocolate contains at least six parts cocoa solids, including the three mentioned above plus thirty-two to forty parts of water, sugar, pectin, and stearic acid, and therefore is a product that is rich in nutrition.
Some benefits of chocolate include stronger bones and teeth, increased energy levels, reduced cholesterol levels and reduced risk of heart disease, and even lower risk of certain types of cancer. But, one of the more important benefits of chocolate is that it provides the body with many of its most important nutrients and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, and fiber. All of these provide the body with the building blocks of healthy cells and tissues that maintain the structure of the skeleton, bones, muscles, and nerves. Calcium alone contributes to the normal functioning of the skeletal system, and the other mineral elements work in conjunction with calcium to maintain healthy blood cells, healthy teeth, and healthy skin.
As a general rule, you should eat about four ounces of dairy per day to get your daily recommended amounts of calcium. If you’re not used to drinking milk, you should try a low-fat variety or a non-dairy variety of chocolate that contains no hydrogenated fats. You should also increase your intake of other calcium-rich foods, such as tofu and cheese.
One way to enjoy milk chocolate is to add it to a recipe that calls for vanilla extracts, such as cookies, cakes, or chocolate liquor. You can even use it as an alternative to white sugar. For example, you could replace the white sugar in your cupcakes with brown sugar or substitute the milk chocolate liquor in a blueberry lemonade recipe for the white sugar. You can even make a chocolate ice cream by substituting the vanilla ice cream with milk chocolate and a few frozen cherries or berries.
